I invented Big Dyke Energy for i-D, yes I did.
I started BEAT nine years ago. I wanted to create a music magazine where the images and interviews were as important as the mixture of musicians features. Well boy! Did I ever manage this. The magazine is free and printed on newsprint. It is distributed around the world in a mixture of shops and we have shot Beyoncé, St Vincent, Kelela, Lorde, Kamasi Washington, Dev Hynes, Blondie, Mø… the list is endless (well) and have worked with photographers including Alasdair McLellan, Tyrone Lebon, Jamie Hawkesworth, Clare Shilland, Ryan McGinley and Frank Lebon. Oh and David Bowie said it made him laugh and reminded him of the 70s and you can’t really get better than that. We have also hosted numerous events and collaborated with brands including Chanel, Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Paul Smith and Converse.
The Fifth Sense / i-DThis was a collaborative online magazine between CHANEL and i-D, hosted across 5 markets and featuring content focusing on and celebrating creative women from a broad range of disciplines that I was the Editorial Director of. Between 2017 and 2018 I was the Digital Director of i-D. I doubled the traffic to the online platform, via a strong editorial and social strategy, as well as implementing SEO and various other policies.

Either scriptwriting, or editing, or bringing ideas to the table in a way that allows the brand to create native content that is smart and engaging for their audience. I also advise on social media and editorial content.
